With an exciting spirit for pairing visuals with audio, Flatscher has worked for a long time on her style. She really understands to combine painting, music, and performance art. She uses contemporary techniques to develop her art together with live performing musicians. Flatscher is definitely one of the most exciting personalities in the art scene."

"After seeing your show last night, I just wanted to write to thank you for you work and share how it had touched me. First of all, I thought that what you do is actually much closer to what God does than most art, which is about capturing a moment of some kind: on film, in words, or in paint. Yours is more like Gods in that it's active and ever changing. I also felt like I learned a lot of lessons about both life and art watching your performance. It was very difficult for me to watch you create something beautiful and then watch you begin to change the beautiful thing you had just made into something else, but as I watched longer, I began to trust that you were going to make something equally beautiful, even though I had to let go of the thing you had made before in order to see the new thing. For me this was a very beautiful illustration of both how we have to let go of one thing to reach the next both in art and in life, and also a lesson about how we have to trust God to keep making beautiful things of us in both our art and our lives. It was very moving for me."

"I learned about Eva Flatscher's art in 2004, when I was Artistic Director of the Festival Hall, St. Pölten, in Austria. I was in dance all my life and grew under the guidance of the best of the business. The fabulous Rudolf Nurejew was my great mentor. After having danced at the highest level at the Vienna State Opera and the great Opera Houses the globe, I had the honor to lead one of the finest dance companies in St. Pölten, Austria for three wonderful years. Eva's work impressed me enormously, as her art makes music visible. It was so unique and new and an exciting prospect. I worked hard to bring the extraordinary work of Eva and modern ballet together, and failed - not for artistic but for financial reasons. We ran out of funding. But we were lucky and managed to arrange a breathtaking evening with the phenomenal musician Eivind Aarset and Eva Flatscher at the Festival Hall. It was an overwhelming spectacle and a smashing success. Eva Flatscher is a great pioneer of art and I considered myself lucky to have worked with her."

"It was a great pleasure to work with Eva Flatscher and experience what happens when contemporary dance meets LIGHTPainting! It was an intense, exciting experience and rehearsals were extremely productive, which is not to say, that they were without artistic controversy as we worked to bring 'Wiener Küch' on stage. We had quite different artistic points of view, but the clash of cultures transformed into a new quality. When different art forms meet and express themselves at an equal level, something extraordinary happens. Eva Flatscher's art and her ability to sensually interpret dance put an additional layer on the choreography Manfred Aichinger and I developed. She did not overpaint but add, support, contrast and elevate. 'Wiener Küche' gained an extra level as a sensual experience."

"My first encounter with Eva Flatscher's artistic work was long ago, but it remains fresh in my memory. How unexpected then was this experience, not only for me, but for all who were able to be present: the whirling dance of colors created by the painter in time with the music, her brush strokes matching its staccato sounds, embedded in an ever-evolving design. In these constantly changing digital images there seemed to hide a sweeping tale, which we enchanted spectators were seeking to decipher! It was a great experience, though it is now long past. But her work – her endeavor to tell a story through grand gestures of movement, of dance, of colors suffused like suns with light and life-giving gladness – has progressed further. With artistic certitude, and in a truly natural way, it has found its unique form of expression, which is described only in part by the name Lightpainting. Dance and music, movement and formal composition, the colors of paintings, often modeled on the works of great masters, generated in the brilliance of light and digitally transformed: these are the formative elements not simply of Eva Flatscher's work but of the world as a whole. All of these elements, united by the guiding hand of the artist – the "storyteller" – mirror the world, tell stories, mysteries or fairytales, show signs of oneness with our feelings, perceptions and thoughts. And in this way your compositions convey their import. At times, Eva Flatscher's productions recall the Traumpfade, the "song lines" or "dream lines" of the Australian aborigines, who by dancing and singing seek to decipher the mystery of the cosmos, of Dreamtime, in a pictorial realization of the past. So also Eva Flatscher's performances, with dancers in the role of thaumaturges, offer in their dramatic configuration and amalgamation of music, movement and densely textured compositions of color an image of our world, of our existence. To immerse oneself in them brings delight!"
